This is what a fellow Plexus Ambassador, Joni Louise Schardien, has to say about her journey:

My Plexus Journey # TESTIMONIES

My issue has always been my weight. I started gaining weight in 2011 shortly after David and I got married. I thought it was like “freshmen fifteen” but in wedding form. More like “married forty”! I tried a few diets and exercise programs, but that is just not who I am and I failed miserably. We were also trying to get pregnant to no avail. I didn’t have regular cycles, in fact I only had 1-2 cycles a year if I was lucky. I finally found a wonderful doctor willing to do some testing and found out I was insulin resistant and suffered from severe PCOS. I started taking Metformin and lost about 35 pounds, but if you have ever taken Metformin, you know exactly how I lost that weight and it was not pretty! At the same time, I started taking fertility meds and going for 2-4 ultrasounds a month to track ovulation in hopes of getting pregnant. After 1 miscarriage, we were able to conceive our son after 14 months of treatments. JB was happy and healthy, but I was unable to nurse him due to a supply issue. Fast forward 6 months, David and I decided to start treatments again to expand our family. After another miscarriage, we were able to conceive again and had our oldest daughter, Caroline. teal and jade wears for bridesmaid
A few things I have not mentioned, in 2008 I was diagnosed with chronic insomnia and prescribed Ambien to sleep at night. Although, the medicine worked for the first 4-5 years, it also came with major hallucinations. Sure, in hindsight it made for more than a few funny stories, but it was scary at times that I could do things without ever remembering. This especially scared me once we had children. After being on Ambien for about 5 years, my body became immune to it and the medication only worked maybe 3 out of 7 nights a week. I never had any energy and my life consisted of either being tired or taking a nap. All the while, I was literally pouring sugar into my body. Did you know juice comes in 3-liter bottles? Did you know that there are 355 grams of sugar in that 3-liter bottle? I would drink a full 3-liter bottle of juice a day! Plus at least 6 cokes! Plus, more candy than any adult should ever have in their possession! I couldn’t stop, I was addicted. I would literally get depressed trying to wean myself off of the sugar.
In 2015, David and I relocated back to GA and about 30 minutes away from my best friend, Sally. I was thrilled to be close to Sally again and she immediately started talking to me about Plexus. I am embarrassed to report that David and I thought she was crazy. We laughed, joked and brushed off all of her attempts to get me to try the products for a full 6 months. Then one day, I asked David “what if it did work and helped me lose weight?”. See, weight was my only issue in my mind. I never in my wildest dreams thought the sugar cravings, the exhaustion, the infertility or the insomnia would ever go away. Reluctantly, David (Captain of Team Skepticism) agreed for me to try it.
I started Plexus January 1, 2016!
Life on Plexus…
After 1 month, I slept through the night. All through the night with no Ambien!
After 2 months, I had energy to keep up with the kids WITHOUT a daily nap!
After 5 months, I realized my body had changed. Now, notice that I did not say I had lost weight. The numbers on the scale had not changed at all. But in the picture below, the left picture was taken in March and the right on taken in May. Zero pounds lost, but I felt amazing and looked completely different.
After 7 months, I started feeling sick and tired again but there was a very logical explanation. I was pregnant!! We conceived our third child completely naturally!! My body ovulated on its own BECAUSE Plexus was healing my body from the inside out. As a result, I had a wonderfully, healthy pregnancy with a NEGATIVE Glucose test! (I failed with both previous pregnancies) I am also able to nurse Savannah AND be able to pump!
So, when I say that Plexus has changed my life, I really mean it. We have a beautiful baby girl to show for it. I am happier and healthier than I have ever been!! THANK YOU PLEXUS!! (And thank you Sally!) — with David Schardien.
